Our Charity

Founded in 1996, Betel UK is a national success story. We’re effective, sustainable and entirely independent. Our charitable model is unique: we offer men, women and families opportunities to transform their lives through peer-led, caring Christian community and skilled work.

Many leave our community as entrepreneurs, mentors and even go on to run new Betel centres. In this way, Betel has grown internationally from its beginnings in Madrid, Spain to helping desperate people in 100 cities and 25 nations around the globe.

Our centres are entirely free of charge and operate no waiting lists. All Betel asks of its residents is a sincere desire to change their life. If they’re willing to work hard, embrace daily worship, and become an active member of our community, then together we can turn their life around. This is the story of thousands that have found transformation in Betel and have gone on to help others like them.
