Betel does not receive any government grants, and while the majority of the charity’s funds are generated through our own charitable businesses, we rely on donations from generous individuals and organisations to cover the remainder of our operating costs. Donations are welcomed as monetary gifts, or in the form of goods and furniture to be restored and sold through our charity shops, as well as volunteering as an intern.
Betel works on an entirely volunteer basis, which means every pound of the money you donate and all income from our businesses is invested directly into changing broken lives. Donating to Betel allows the charity to further its mission of bringing long-term freedom and restoration to men and women whose lives, and those of their families, have been broken by the causes of social exclusion, especially homelessness, drug and alcohol abuse and long-term unemployment.
