Coming to Betel
Coming into Betel is completely free of charge, and we offer a medically assisted detox to those who require one. You can refer yourself or be referred by someone else. All men and women wishing to come to us will need to do a phone interview – but don’t worry – it’s not full of tricky questions. The interview involves us finding out some important information about you such as your current situation, medical needs etc. and gives us the opportunity to explain clearly to you how Betel functions and what to expect when you come. The phone interview generally takes about 10-15 minutes
If it is agreed that coming to Betel is a good next step for you then you will be offered a place in one of our centres. We take men and women from all over the UK. The centre in which you are offered a place will depend on the best suitability for your situation and where we have spaces at the time. You shouldn’t have to wait long to come to us. We are generally able to offer people a place within a few days of doing the interview providing we have all the information we need.
We recommend that men and women come to us for a minimum of 12-18 months. There are no short term solutions. You will need to be willing to make a commitment to the changes you are hoping for.
What to do next
Give us a call on one of the numbers below. Either yourself or someone else can make the initial call but you will be required to do the interview personally. You don’t need to select the nearest centre to you as often it is better to have a distance between you and your current situation and, as mentioned above, you may be offered a place in a different centre to the one you initially phone.
You can ring us Monday to Friday 9.00am -5.30pm (lunchtime may be covered by an answer machine but leave us your name and number and we will get back to you).
